Popular Tents to Rent for Parties

There are four basic tent styles. These are:

Pole-supported tents

These are tents that consist of a set of individual poles that are arranged below a fabric roof for support and also to create the shape of the structure. The fabric roof gets tensioned over a pole and is attached to ropes/cables that are designated at the edge of the fabric. The cables/ropes get anchored onto the ground using augers, stakes or weights around the tent’s perimeter. These types of tents are the oldest in the industry. While their popularity has declined as a result of the newer designs, these pole-supported tents are still popular in the US and are considered to be part of tent inventories for rent.

Pipe frame-supported tents

This is a type of tent that is supported using an assembled framework that is made of steel or aluminum pipes that support the fabric roof and define the structure’s shape. The tent has a rigid framework that enables it to be free standing without the need for additional support but it requires the same cable or rope anchoring system for the tent to hold in place according to the applicable building or fire codes. These types of tents are commonly used for events that do not require the smaller tents. Many of the tent’s manufacturers make units that as small as 10 by 10 feet and these are easy to set up and tear down. These tents are also suitable for the smaller events that do not require a lot of interior obstruction as there is no need for interior support. The pipe-frame-supported pipes are available in a wide range of sizes and styles.

Clearspan

This type of tent has an assembled framework made of box beam arches that help to support the fabric roof defining the structure’s shape just like the pipe frame-supported tent. The “steelbox” or aluminum beam frame is made of stronger material and this make the tent suitable for larger as well as long-term use compared to the other types of tents. The tents also have a box-beam framework that makes it possible for unobstructed space below the roof of the fabric. Larger structures need heavy equipment due to the size and weight of the parts. The tents are available in a wide range of widths ranging from 40 to 200 feet wide.

Tensile tents

This type of tent has many characteristics that are similar to those of the pole-supported tent. But the tent relies more on the fabric’s tensioning for shape and structural integrity. The aim of the tensioned fabric is to resist the applied load and shape its fabric membrane. This means that there is less of the traditional support structure that is needed to maintain the tent. This design is among the modern ones and it is more sculpted and curvilinear in appearance as compared to the traditional tents. It is possible to custom-design or mass-produces the tent as necessary. You can choose a party tent that meets your needs.
